Children In Need
The Mazabuka District Hospital provides emergency care and treatment against the mnay diseases of the area (malaria, tuberculosis, respiratory infections, diarrhea, skin diseases, anemia, HIV-AIDS, etc.). It also provides rehabilitation therapy services for disabled and handicapped people. The hospital has 160 beds that are divided into five wards: male, female, children, maternity, and isolation. It serves a population of over 250,000 people from 38 rural health centers. Shortage of basic medications and surgical materials is common.
